Our Guild is <The Basin> on Tichondrius and Stormrage. We
primarily play on Tichondrius, on the horde side. We are a day-1
guild, and indeed, the basin hails all the way back to Diablo 2 roots,
and is
i
nvolved
in many games. It's primarily an adult guild, but the real key
behind the basin is in our credo of "play nice and show some class".
Dan plays a mortal strike warrior and Kat has a fire mage (she was fire
before fire was cool!) We've been playing since closed beta in
April 2004, and were again asked back to the beta for the TBC expansion
in Oct 2006. Dan was one of the original 4 admins bringing the
amazon basin to WoW, and did a year stint as guild leader after Jim (reptilehouse)
moved on. Dan stepped down with his new job, but retains his
position as an officer on Tichondrius.
You can find several of our guild videos here.
We used to be fairly serious about our raiding pre-TBC, and did all
the classic content up through C'thun and early Naxxramas. Toward
the end, I found that I could tank Onyxia just fine for a 25 person
raid,
while using my Ashkandi 2 handed sword, rather than sword/shield.
I was not our primary (or even secordary) main tank, but
I had the pleasure of tanking for one nefarian kill (where my ashkandi
dropped, actually.), several Azuregos kills, and countless MC and Onyxia
runs as main tank. The basin was blessed with uncanny luck
in weapons drops. By the end of classic, we'd gathered 4 thunderfuries, 2 Sufurus, hand of ragnaros, 4 Ashkandi's, 4
Bonereaver's edges, and a smattering of others that escape me now.
Here's all our Legendaries, all in one

I'm the ashkandi warrior center screen behind mandrake, with
the silly colored gloves. Kat is the troll mage all the way to the
left, in her pink robes
In TBC, we went through gruul and about halfway through SSC, before raiding just didn't fit in with our lifestlye anymore. About the same time that I turned over guild leadership to champain, I left the raid scene, and am now happy to hit up Zul'Aman twice a week with a great, casual group of friends.
This page mostly exists as an entry portal to my UI compilation, which some folk prefer to use, rather than beating their head against making their own. My UI page can be found here
